Tim Levy

Owner, Director & Founder

Tim is a director, founder and sole owner of Future Capital Partners. He has originated, marketed, raised and executed over £7 billion of project and venture investments whilst leading the company.

Tim is a director of, or partner in, several other businesses, notably Future Fuels, a company established to develop and exploit alternative fuel sources, and Novia, a provider of technology driven administrative solutions to the financial services community.

Tim has been involved in the project and venture investing market since 1997. He started his career in the insurance industry.

Piers Denne

Director of Capital Raising

Piers joined Future Capital Partners in November 2009 as Head of Sales and Marketing to lead and enhance an extended sales and marketing team. Piers primary responsibility is to implement a strategic focus for our business development campaigns, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with its key intermediary clients.

Piers has 23 years of financial services experience in third-party distribution of investment products. During this time, he has held senior roles with some of Europe's largest asset managers, including Gartmore, Fidelity and Threadneedle.

Glen Stewart

Business Development Manager

Glen joined Future Capital Partners in January 2010 as part of the sales team with his primary focus being to build strong working relationships with our clients and intermediaries. Prior to Future Capital Partners, he spent three years working in structured products focusing on investment and tax planning. 

Glen is a Chartered Tax Advisor, having qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers, London.

Andrew Derrington

Business Development Manager

Andrew joined Future Capital Partners in October 2009 as part of the sales team with his primary focus being to build strong working relationships with our clients and intermediaries. Prior to Future Capital Partners, he spent four years working in the Structured Products focussing on both investment and pure tax planning. 

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, having qualified with Arthur Andersen in Birmingham. He holds a degree in Economics from Hull University.

James Pargeter

Business Development Manager

James joined Future Capital Partners in August 2012 as part of the sales team primarily focusing on building and expanding our corporate relationships.  

Prior to Future Capital Partners, James worked as a Tax Manager at Ernst & Young, advising non-UK domiciled individuals and employers on their tax affairs.

James holds a Business Economics degree from the University of Exeter.

Anthony Rogers

Business Development Manager

Anthony joined Future Capital Partners in March 2012 as part of the sales team. Prior to joining Future Capital Partners he worked at a niche tax planning firm dealing with bespoke planning and structuring for individuals and owner managed businesses.

Anthony read law at university and completed his Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law, following this he moved into the world of tax qualifying as a Tax Technician and Chartered Tax Advisor.

Tim Thornton

Business Development Manager

Tim joined Future Capital Partners at the end of November 2011, an acquisition to the sales team covering the North East and North West of England. Prior to joining, he successfully spent the previous three years running his own business, delivering investment, and trust and taxation solutions to both corporates and individuals via the intermediary network.

Susie joined Future Capital Partners in February 2010 and and manages the Business Development Associate team. Prior to joining Future Capital Partners, Susie worked at Hartford Life Limited, where she was involved in setting up and supporting the key account function. She graduated with honours in Psychology and Archaeology from Columbia University in New York in 2002, and also holds the Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Financial Planning.

Anna Long

Business Development Associate

Anna joined Future Capital Partners in March 2010 in the role of Client Services Manager, responsible for liaising with existing investors and intermediaries in relation to their investments. Anna is now a Business Development Associate within the sales team. Anna previously worked at a city law firm dealing with clients in the insurance and reinsurance sector, and prior to that at Citi, where she spent time in both the legal department and the tax department where her responsibilities involved monitoring client tax status changes and reporting to the IRS. Anna has a Law degree from King's College London.

Tessa Hickes

Business Development Associate

Tessa joined the Sales team in January 2013 as Business Development Associate.  She previously worked at  Stenham Asset Management where she was a key member of the Institutional Business Development team.  Prior to that, she oversaw investor relations at LJ Capital where she was the main contact point for clients.  Tessa has 6 years experience in the financial services industry, having graduated in 2006 from the University of Westminster with a BA (Hons) in Business Management.  Tessa also holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Gordon Deas

Director, Project Management

Gordon joined Future Capital Partners in October 2009 as part of the project management team, and is involved in the development and implementation of new investment opportunities. 

Prior to joining Future Capital Partners, Gordon worked for RBS Structured Finance in London and Stockholm for 5 years, structuring and executing real estate transactions, and also for a real estate private equity fund. Before this Gordon worked for various corporate tax consulting teams at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte in London and Chicago advising multi-national clients.

Gordon is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, and holds a degree in Economics and Management from St Andrews University.

Graham Webber

Director

Prior to joining Future Capital Partners, Graham worked for two major UK banking groups over 19 years. Roles undertaken have included employee taxation issues at all levels as well as corporate tax matters across a range of areas and jurisdictions. In particular UK and cross border structured transactions in the asset finance area have been a constant theme.

Prior to this period, Graham was in various accountancy practices specialising in personal taxation. Graham is a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Achit Patel

Associate Director, Legal and Business Affairs

Achit joined Future Capital Partners in March 2007 and assists senior members of the legal team on all transactions and other general legal work. Achit qualified as a Barrister in November 2006 and has an LLM in Intellectual Property and Media Law from King's College London.

Sam Llewellyn

Project Manager

Sam joined Future Capital Partners in April 2010 having previously worked as a tax advisor with Ernst and Young LLP where she provided UK tax compliance and advisory services to HNWI and the assignee population of multinational corporate clients. 

Sam is qualified with the Association of Taxation Technicians. In her earlier career as a research scientist Sam obtained a PhD from the Royal Veterinary College.

Neil Bowman

Tax Specialist

Neil is a Consultant with Future Capital Partners. He was Senior Tax Partner at Ernst & Young until 2003. Neil specialised in corporate and personal tax and ran the Private Client business in London.Between 2003 and 2009 Neil was a Director with HSBC Private Bank. During his career Neil has advised on major corporate takeovers and reorganisations as well as being the originator of many of the successful structures which have been used by both HNW individuals and corporates.

Tim Levy

Since 1997, Tim has been structuring, executing and managing investments in the entertainment business. He has been involved in over 500 entertainment industry financing transactions, deploying in excess of US$10 billion. These have included such notable projects as Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, The Bourne Ultimatum, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Frost: Nixon, The Queen, The Reader, Enchanted, Kill Bill 2, Iron Man 2, Thor, Hugo, Transformers 2 and Transformers 3.

Tim has worked with most of the leading studios, producers, distributors, banks and lawyers in the entertainment business. Tim has an unequalled knowledge in the industry of how to effectively structure and manage project finance.

Jonathan Turney

Associate Director - Renewable Energy

Jonathan joined the Structured Finance team in 2007 and is involved with all financial matters spanning product development and transaction execution in the Renewable Energy space. He is currently programme managing the company's Bioethanol project.

Prior to joining Future Capital Partners, Jonathan worked at Deloitte for 5 years providing compliance and tax advisory services to a range of multinational clients. In addition, Jonathan has commercial finance experience having worked at BT on their 21st Century Network project.

Jonathan is a qualified chartered accountant and has a degree from St. Peter's College, Oxford.

David Knibbs

Consumer Products & Renewables

After completing a degree in Economics at Sheffield University, David joined the Mars Corporation as a graduate trainee. Over the next 9 years David took on a number of roles in both sales and marketing, rising to the position of National Sales Manager. David joined HP Bulmer, the UK listed drinks business, in 1997 as Sales & Trade Marketing Director and then in 2000 David became CEO of their North American business where he spearheaded the launch of the Strongbow brand in the USA.

In 2003 David was appointed Group Marketing Director of Grampian Country Food Group (the UK's leading meat and poultry supplier and a top 5 supplier to each of the major supermarkets). David brings extensive experience in sales and marketing in both customer and channel management and in brand development. David was appointed Commercial Director of the Company on 1st March 2007 and CEO in December 2009. David is a member of the DfT Stakeholder advisory group, Vice Chair of the REA's Renewable Transport Fuels Group (for which he has authored key policy proposals) and a member of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Fuels Group.

Andrew Hartley

Finance

Andrew is a qualified chartered accountant having completed his training with KPMG in Leeds. Subsequent to that, Andrew has held positions are Encon plc, a insulation manufacture and Syltone plc, a listed engineering and fluid transfer group. Andrew was appointed Finance Director of Vireol plc in October 2005.

Ged Russell

Energy & Transport Fuels

Ged is a graduate in quantity surveying and construction economics from the University of Salford, Ged has held positions for the Mossmorran project in Fife for Shell⁄ Esso, various roles for local authorities in the North East, eventually being promoted to the head of the building economics unit for North Yorkshire County Council. Ged joined Baker Mallett LLP where he worked on projects for ICI, Enron Power, Uniqema, Synetix, Katalco and other chemical products businesses throughout Europe and the US. In 1994 Ged was appointed as a partner with the firm and in 2004 ⁄ 05 managed the Baker Mallett team which took the Biofuels Corporation plc biodiesel plant project from flotation through to physical completion. Ged was appointed as Technical Director of Vireol plc on 19 January 2006.

Peter Conway

Energy

Peter is a consultant across the energy sector with a particular focus on renewables. He has a wealth of experience in structuring, financing and developing projects, including from his former banking career at Kleinwort Benson and Societe Generale. Peter has advised major clients including ConocoPhillips, Qatar Petroleum, Veolia Water and the Government of Oman and was adviser to Ensus Limited in the development of its 400 million litre per annum bioethanol project at Wilton, Teesside, the largest European bioethanol plant and the only one to successfully achieve debt finance. He was also a founder and remains a Director of Gaia Power Limited, a biomass power generation company which is developing a portfolio of biomass projects. He is a graduate of the University of Birmingham.
