EEAP Eastern European Acquisition Pool and New Regency’s affiliate and international distribution company Monarchy Entertainment recently concluded a TV distribution deal. EEAP and its Russian subsidiary, GALA MEDIA & FILM INTL, will distribute close to 100 titles in the CIS, excluding the Ukraine, acting as exclusive distributor for New Regency across the entire region.
The stellar library contains hits such as "Marley & Me“, "What Happens in Las Vegas“, "Street Kings“, "Heat“ and "Fight Club,” amongst others. As a result, EEAP closed several important TV deals with the Russian stations TNT and TV3 during the last MIPCOM.
"The cooperation with New Regency adds a substantial package of attractive titles to EEAP’s diverse line-up we can offer our long-term Russian TV partners, placing EEAP and GALA as one of the leading suppliers of TV product in the CIS,“ says Alexey Lazarenko, GALA’s General Director.
“After the abrupt purchasing stop by some Russian TV stations caused by the financial crisis in the third quarter of 2008, we expected certain stations to have a heavy demand of titles to program from summer 2009 onward", explains Alexander van Dülmen, Managing Director of EEAP, "and this is exactly what happened“.
The Deal between EEAP und Monarchy Films was negotiated by Alexander van Dülmen, Managing Director and Peter Eiff, Senior Vice President / Head of International.
EEAP Eastern European Acquisition Pool GmbH is one of the leading film licensing companies for Central and Eastern Europe, including the CIS. Moscow based GALA FILM & MEDIA INTL. handles TV rights in Russia and further CIS countries. Both companies are 100% subsidiaries of Berlin based A COMPANY Consulting & Licensing AG.
Future Capital Partners acquired 25.2% of A Company earlier in 2009, through the LLP Expansion Media Partners which acts as a Private Equity investor in Media companies. This continued the development of Future Capital Partners' Media Financing and Consultancy business, after previous investments in PACO and Filmaka.
