Press coverage Alternative Investment Cricket - Eurohedge Weekly - Hedge funds back Capital Kids Cricket fundraiser

PressFRM, Thames River, Future Capital Partners, Pimco and Aramid Asset Management are among the hedge fund groups and other financial firms fielding teams in next week’s 2009 Alternative Investment Six-a-Side Cricket Championship at the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London.

The event, which is raising funds for the Capital Kids Cricket charity, is being held on Monday 29 June and spectators are invited from 4.30pm for a cricket tea, a live auction and the Grand Final of the 2009 Championship.

For a £10 entry fee on the door, spectators can enjoy a free beer, Pimms and wine bar all evening, a live steel band and the chance to network with the teams and the ex-international players that are assigned to each team – with auction items that include net sessions with Shane Warne and Freddie Flintoff, as well as a holiday in Mustique.

The fundraiser takes place at the HAC on City Road, EC1Y 2BO – and spectators are asked to use the entrance on Finsbury Street, off Chiswell Street. Please RSVP to cricket@aramidam.com or call Rosie or Eve on +44 (0) 207 399 2532.

Capital Kids Cricket was formed 19 years ago to reverse the decline in the teaching of cricket in inner London schools. Its supporters and members include 15 England test captains and international heavyweights including Clive Lloyd and Shane Warne.
