Future Capital Partners, the £6 billion alternative investment boutique, has appointed Trevor Castledine as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Mr Castledine, a former Managing Director and Head of Financial Products at Royal Bank of Scotland (“RBS”), has taken over responsibility for all of the firm’s operations, organisational development and strategy delivery.
During his 15 year career, he has been responsible for leading teams across the compliance, treasury, risk and capital management spectrums, and has overseen in excess of £20bn of structured finance transactions.
During a six year spell at RBS, Mr Castledine was both Managing Director of Financial Products within the firm’s Structured Finance division and Managing Director of Portfolio Transactions in the Global Markets unit. During this time, he was responsible for successfully delivering multi-billion pound transactions covering Real Estate, Project Finance, Asset Finance and Leveraged Finance.
Prior to RBS, Mr Castledine was a Vice President within Royal Dutch Shell’s Structured Finance division, having also previously held a number of senior finance roles at BNP and Barclays Capital.

Future Capital Partners has completed transactions and made investments worth in excess of £6 billion since 2000 and has executed over 500 asset finance transactions. The firm’s current product offerings include Opus, a Real Estate Development in Montenegro; the production services in relation to the blockbuster movie Iron Man 2; the construction of a wheat-to-bio-ethanol plant in the UK; and Aramid 1, which provides ongoing debt finance to the entertainment industry. -
